"When designing, I look for ways for my buildings to fit within the local area.

I want my house to belong to their surroundings,

not stand out and something strange or too new,"

studio founder Andrew Trotter told Dezeen.

"We wanted to keep the house simple like the old local buildings,

white cubes that have a feeling of the past,

to fit beautifully in between the olive trees."

Design Haus Liberty also recently completed a white holiday home in Italy, which is characterised by a series of living spaces connected to rounded terraces that extend out like petals from a flower.

빌라 카르도라는 이름의 이 주거지는 이탈리아 남부의 도시인 카로비노의 올리브 숲 속에서 평화로운 여름 휴양지를 원하는 한 부부를 위해 설계되었습니다. 새롭고 눈에 띄는 독특한 건물보다는 주변 환경과 올리브 나무들 사이에 조화가 되길 원했다는 바람대로 자연스럽게 자연과 함께 녹아들며 마치 그리스의 휴양지에 있는 듯한 낭만적인 느낌이 듭니다.
